Tuff Fab was started in the year 1993 as a partnership firm headed by Mr.P.G. Pradeep, who is a post graduate in Engineering ( M.Tech from I.I.T., Madras – Industrial Metallurgy) with working experience in R&D at M/s Lucas -TVS,Padi, Chennai & BEML, KGF, Karnataka. Initially, Fabrication and Powder coating works were undertaken at our works at Ambattur Industrial Estate in Chennai up to 1997, and in 1997 the Fluoropolymer coating facilities were created. Ptfe, Fep, Pfa & Etfe dispersion and Powder coatings under the brand names Teflon, Xylan are applied here on various industrial components, domestic appliances and cookware. over the last ten years we have increased the range of applied coatings to include nylon (rilsan/vestosint) and peek coatings. Our new product Nano Clear is a nanotechnology based product applied to Automobile Windshields. It significantly improves visibility during heavy rains and when driving at night, considerably improves visibility by reducing glare from oncoming vehicles. We also manufacture mold kote which is a semi-permanent mould release coating for application on aluminium /steel moulds. Parts made of rubber and PU do not stick on mold kote coated moulds thereby eliminating the need for other release sprays. The unique properties of these coatings have helped customers find solutions to nagging problems in Industrial processes and Production.

About Nano Clear |
| Nano Clear is a coating solution formulated from functionalized nanoparticles which when applied to glass and ceramic substrates confers durable, long lasting water repellent, dust repellent, u-v resistant, easy cleaning properties on the applied surface. Advantages of Nano Clear:

Water repellent treatment for windshield: According to experts, our eyes provide approximately 90% 0f the information that we need to make critical decisions as we drive. 65% of drivers experience difficulty seeing in the rain during the day and 82% experience this difficulty during night. Under rainy conditions, slippery roads and poor visibility combine to increase the likelihood of accidents. Indeed, when it rains, water droplets tend to spread on the glass surface impeding the drivers visibility. Water repellent coatings can improve a drivers visual acuity by nearly 34% and response time by 25%. This safety innovation is particularly useful for corporate drivers, who sometimes have to travel hundreds of miles in heavy rain. On glass treated with water repellent coating, water droplets do not adhere to the surface but retain a spherical shape and are removed by the air stream generated by the movement of the vehicle.
